CRUISE operator, Hurtigruten,
has commenced upgrades to four
of its 11 Norwegian coastal ships.
Kong Harald and Polarys have
already completed the refits,
with Nordkapp and Nordnorge
due to be done in Apr and Nov,
respectively.
MEANWHILE, Hurtigruten has
announced a near-complete
reconstruction of its new ship
Spitsbergen, to be adapted for
use in polar waters.
The ship will join the fleet and
commence its maiden journey
along the Norwegian Coastal
Voyage route later this year,
replacing Midnatsol.
