P&O Cruises’ newly appointed Fleet People and Performance Manager Kevin Spencer made the decision to move to Australia from his home in the United Kingdom, after “asking permission” from his younger brother, Andrew Spencer, who is the Hotel Director on P&O’s Pacific Eden.
The Spencer brothers grew up in Croydon in South London and both have spent many years at sea, having begun their careers as ship stewards. They also served together on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth 2.
Kevin has worked across several Carnival Corporation brands including Cunard and Seabourn, and most recently he has worked with international maritime recruitment company Viking Recruitment Limited.
Kevin said he and his wife Jane were both very keen to make the move to Australia when the opportunity with P&O Cruises Australia came up.
“I have always known of P&O Cruises through being part of Carnival and the family association with Andrew, so I am very excited to be part of it,” Mr Spencer said.
“When I asked Andrew for ‘permission’ to join him in Australia at P&O Cruises, he gave me the thumbs up.”
