GOT that sinking feeling?
A Chinese investment
group has commissioned the
construction of a $196m full
scale replica of the Titanic as
part of a new tourist resort in
China’s Sichuan province.
News of replica builds is
nothing new, however in
a bid to lure international
tourists this replica will feature
a simulation of the ship’s
moment of impact with an
iceberg & subsequent sinking.
A Hollywood movie exec has
been drafted in to “get as close
as we can” to the real thing,
noting that it will be done in a
“very respectful way.”
Over 1,500 people died on
the Titanic’s ill-fated journey.
