A new cruise terminal in Gothenburg, Sweden is under construction to replace the port at Frihamnen, which will form part of an urban development.
The historic quay, where the first Swedish American Line vessel sailed for the USA from Stigbergskajen over 100 years ago, is being resurrected under the name America Cruise Terminal.
Set to open from spring 2018, the location is within walking distance of the districts of Majorna, Linn and Haga, and a short journey into the city centre.
A rendering of the new terminal is pictured.
