Carnival Splendor will no longer be deployed to P&O Cruises.
Carnival Australia will deploy Princess Cruises’ Golden Princess to the P&O Cruises fleet in 2020 instead of Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor which had been earmarked for Australian waters from 2019.
The deployment of the Ocean Medallion-enabled Golden Princess pushes back the expansion of P&O Cruises fleet.
Princess Cruises will in turn replace Golden Princess with the larger Ruby Princess, which will serve Princess guests in Australia.
Carnival Cruise Line also announced it intends to increase its Australian operation to two ships sailing full-time in 2020.
