AS FLOTATION devices go, it’s certainly novel.

An Iowa man has been filmed paddling a giant inflatable unicorn across a pond in a mission to rescue a baby goose from a turtle attack.

UPI reports the man had spotted the emergency unfolding while driving by.

He apparently made a quick diversion to his brother’s house, where he borrowed the unicorn and returned to save the young gosling.

The device might not pass regulation at a cruise safety drill, but the bird was successfully saved and returned to its family.
