A woman who fell overboard from Norwegian Star in the Adriatic Sea on the weekend has been safely rescued after spending 10 hours in the water.
The 46-year-old British national fell from the vessel while it was en route from Vargarola to Venice, sparking a large scale search and rescue operation.
The passenger was taken to hospital in Pula, Croatia, with Norwegian Cruise Line saying it was working actively to help guests whose travel plans were impacted by the incident.
