HERITAGE EXPEDITIONS HAS BEEN GRANTED SPECIAL
permission to access the Wrangel Island Nature
Reserve for passengers on the company’s three
‘Across the Top of the World’ voyages departing
on 27 July, and 10 and 24 August 2011.
Cruising onboard Heritage’s 50-passenger
Russian ice-strengthened ship, Spirit of
Enderby, the exceptional 14-day adventure
voyage includes three days traversing
150kms of frozen wilderness in search of
wildlife, as well as an overnight stay at a
former Russian meteorological station in the
abandoned village of Ushakovskoe, plus a
visit to Dream Head and Rodgers Inlet.
Not for the faint-hearted, the adventure
includes an overland option, whereby guests
can depart from Dream Head on a southbound
expedition, taking in Wrangel and
Herald Islands as well as a significant
section of the wild North Eastern Siberian
coastline, to rejoin the ship at Rodgers Inlet.
The voyage is priced from US$7150 per
person and includes one night pre-voyage
hotel accommodation, transfers, all meals,
shore excursions, landing fees and permits.
The Overland Expedition option costs
US$1250pp and includes transport, accom
in basic field huts and meals.
