Cruise industry honoured at National Travel Industry Awards.
Royal Caribbean International has taken out the Best Cruise Operator – Domestic Deployment category at this year’s National Travel Industry Awards, while Princess Cruises has taken out the international gong in the prestigious honours which have been announced at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.
The black-tie event, which was attended by over 1,300 travel industry members, also saw APT crowned Best River Cruise Operator, while Richard Waugh from P&O Cruises in Queensland was named Best Sales Executive – Cruise.
Cruise specialist travel agency Bicton Travel from Western Australia took out the People’s Choice: Retail Travel Agency of the Year category.

Category 21 – Best Cruise Operator – Domestic Deployment: Royal Caribbean International
Category 22 – Best Cruise Operator – International Deployment: Princess Cruises
Category 23 – Best River Cruise Operator: APT
Category 33 – Best Sales Executive – Cruise: Richard Waugh, P&O Cruises, Queensland
Category 40 – People’s Choice: Retail Travel Agency of the Year: Bicton Travel
