Cruise operations now suspended until 15 June 2020.
The Australian Government is believed to have extended its ban on cruise operations in Australia until 15 June, 2020, as a further measure aiming to slow the spread of coronavirus.
The confirmation came in an email to travel agents today from Princess Cruises SVP Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison, who said the line was consequently evaluating all of its previously planned departures, which had already been suspended for 60 days from 12 March through to 11 May.
Earlier this week Carnival Cruise Line and P&O Cruises announced their planned resumption of local cruising until 15 May, while Royal Caribbean Cruises had also just last Wednesday envisaged a global resumption of cruising across its various brands on 12 May.
The New Zealand Government has already imposed a ban on passenger cruise shipping through until 30 June 2020.
