NO-ONE ever wants to miss their embarkation, but this is ridiculous!
A Queensland police officer has leaped into a runaway boat on the Calliope River, after its captain fell overboard.
The officer was assisted by three kayakers, who dragged the elderly skipper to safety, while the cop went after the unmanned vessel, which had been left circling uncontrollably.
The copper bravely leapt from his boat into the fisherman’s, where he was able to stop the out-of-control craft.
Bravo to the four men, especially the police officer, who risked potentially serious injury at the business end of the tinny’s motor to keep the community safe.
