TODAY’S issue of CW is coming to you courtesy of Viking, aboard the brand new Viking Octantis.

AFTER a day exploring Lake Superior’s remote Silver Islet, our next stop is Duluth, Minnesota on the lake’s western edge.

This industrial centre was originally home to the American Fur Company and has a rich history of copper and iron ore mining.

Museums and landmarks abound, with a highlight being the Aerial Lift Bridge across the Duluth Ship Canal.

Activities today include kayaking, an on-shore train ride, and city explorations.
