A former Holland America cruise ship which was sold for US$10 million in the early stages of the pandemic has just been traded again – but this time with a US$30 million price tag.
The MS Maasdam was purchased back in Jul 2020 by Greek shipping billionaire Marios Iliopoulos who owns high speed island-hopping ferry company Seajets.
It’s understood the latest owner of the ship is a French start-up cruise line called Compagnie Francaise De Crosieres (CFC), which was registered earlier this year.
Corporate records indicate that CFC is led by Clement Mousset, who was formerly GM for France at Cruise & Maritime Voyages, which collapsed just over two years ago (CW 21 Jul 2020)
