Cruise momentum builds
With Cruise Month in full swing, excitement is building around the coming season and the dozens of ships about to return to Australian waters.
Last week Melbourne had a taste of what’s to come when it welcomed its first ship, Princess Cruises’ Coral Princess, which on Mon also became the first to visit Kangaroo Island.
Other ports will reach similar milestones over coming weeks as more ships return.
In all, more than 20 CLIA cruise lines will operate in Australian waters over coming months, bringing millions of dollars in economic opportunities as part of a summer cruise renaissance.
Expedition cruising will play a key part in this revival and is the subject of this week’s Cruise Month theme, highlighting the extraordinary experiences available to expedition guests.
Throughout Cruise Month, our overarching message is cruise fans should book via a CLIA certified travel agent to get the best possible guidance.
To reinforce this, CLIA’s Cruise Month competition offers a chance to win $1000 towards a cruise booked through a CLIA certified agent.
Encourage your clients to get involved — see www.cruising.org for competition details.
