HOLLAND AMERICA LINE HAS ADOPTED NEW SMART
tag technology, whereby consumers can use
their iPhones and Blackberrys to scan over its
magazine ads (like a barcode), to gain
access to special HAL information and video
content.
The tags will appear in selected
international HAL ads and brochures and
when scanned by smart phones will open a
mobile site containing video and interactive
cruise line content.
Unfortunately however the smart tags will
not be able to be accessed by Australian
guests.
But fear not, HAL has released a desktop
version which is accessible via its Facebook
page and behaves like a website with links to
specific content being shared.
To have a look visit the HAL Facebook page –
www.facebook.com/HALCruises.
