CARNIVAL Australia executive
chairman Ann Sherry and nature
documentary maker Sir David
Attenborough met yesterday at
a lunch held at the Australian
Museum in Sydney.
The pair used the
opportunity to discuss the
connection between cruising and
the natural world.
Sherry described the encounter
as a “fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime
experience”.
“Our ships take passengers
to exotic destinations in the
natural world that Sir David
Attenborough has spent a lifetime
exploring for the benefit of his
worldwide audience,” Sherry said.
“We had a thoroughly enjoyable
discussion about everything
from the amazing red crabs of
Christmas Island to the cultural
and natural treasures of the
Solomon Islands and how much
cruise passengers now look for
those experiences.”
