Carnival Cruise Line’s guests have taken to the cruise line’s new charity partnership with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with gusto – wiggling, wobbling and nutbushing their way through its inaugural Wiggle for Westmead dance parties.
The first ever Wiggle for Westmead event saw 120 Carnival Spirit guests put their dancing shoes on to raise more than $2200 for the children’s hospital, a feat quickly topped last week by guests during the second party, which raised an impressive $3100.
The Wiggle for Westmead dance events are held on the last sea day of each cruise, with guests able to join the party by purchasing a special pack featuring a “Wiggle for Westmead” t-shirt and wrist band. Created by Carnival, the packs cost $15, with 100 per cent of the purchase price donated to the hospital.
