Ecruising founders Brett and Philippa Dudley sell business to private equity firm.
Pioneering Australian online cruise seller, Ecruising.travel, is set to become part of Gold Coast-based LeisureCom Group, after the company’s founders Brett and Philippa Dudley agreed to sell 100% of their shares to LeisureCom’s backer, Skybound Fidelis Investment Limited.
The deal, for an undisclosed amount, comes two decades after Ecruising was founded, and having built its sales to around $30 million last financial year across the Ecruising and Latitude 33 brands.
“I always wanted to get our business to the 20 year mark, a real milestone achievement,” Dudley said, adding he was confident LeisureCom Group was the right partner to help Ecruising achieve the next stage of growth.
LeisureCom Group CEO Steve Chant said Ecruising was complementary to the company’s existing brands, and would “instantly increase our product range and distribution opportunities”.
