It seems like everyone wants to ask Isaac for his advice on booking a Princess cruise these days…
On their recent visit to Carnival Australia’s Sydney office, Carnival Corporation & plc CEO Arnold Donald and Holland America Group CEO Stein Kruse were amused to see everyone’s favourite bartender – Isaac from The Love Boat TV series – now has his own t-shirt.
The t-shirts are part of Princess’ promotional material for Australian and New Zealand travel agents following last month’s launch of the cruise line’s new online click-to-chat service “Ask Isaac”.
Available through the World Leading Cruise Line’s One Source (www.onesourcecruises.com) portal, the click-to-chat service is designed to give agents access to online assistance without interrupting their sales calls.
The t-shirts are such a big hit, the entire Princess’ Sydney team decided to don one for a photo, designed to make “the point”* about the new service.
*For those who missed out on this important chapter in 1970s TV culture, the Love Boat character Isaac was known for his happy grin-and-point gesture, sometimes referred to as the “double Isaac”.
