CARNIVAL Horizon set sail on her maiden voyage yesterday, casting off from Barcelona on a 13-day journey which will see the new Carnival Cruise Line ship make port calls in Italy, Croatia, Malta and Greece.
Horizon is scheduled to service a summer season between New York and the popular regional cruise destinations of Bermuda & the Caribbean kicking off 24 May.
Features unique to the new addition includes a Dr Seuss-themed WaterWorks aqua park, the Japanese Bonsai Teppanyaki eatery, and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse.
Grammy Award-winning artist & actress Queen Latifah will head up a naming ceremony prior to it formally embarking on its summer schedule.
