| MSC opens Ocean Cay private island

MSC Cruises has welcomed the first guests to its new private island destination in The Bahamas, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve (CW 15 Nov).

The island offers a range of shore excursions, from snorkelling to spa treatments.

“Having the first guests arrive on the island is a moment of great pride,” said MSC Cruises Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago.

“Ocean Cay is not just a holiday island, it is a unique marine reserve where people and nature thrive in harmony,” he continued.

MSC also announced it will build a conservation centre on the island, which will “serve as an active base for coral education and research”.
