THE foundation for an International Cruise Terminal at the Ernakulam Wharf of Cochin Port in Kochi, Kerala has been put down by Alphons Kannanthanam, Union Minister of State for Tourism last weekend and is set for completion before Feb 2020.
The New Indian Express reported that the Ministry aims to attract five million cruise tourists into India by 2040 and that the new terminal has 2,253m2 and will be equipped to handle up to 5,000 visitors.
