PONANT’S Le Commandant Charcot has taken guests to the geographic North Pole for the first time. The symbolic achievement coincided with Wed’s Bastille Day, the national day of France, Ponant’s home. Le Commandant Charcot became the first French vessel to reach this latitude in Sep (CW 08 Sep 2021).
