THERE is a “surfing chicken” in Victoria which is making waves, in more ways than one.
‘Mrs Chook’ took up her new hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fast forward 18 months, the chook is now swimming in shallow waves at Ocean Grove Beach, and according to her owner, she loves it.
“You cannot make a chook like the water, particularly the ocean, but this one has a passion,” the owner told 9News.
“She has a passion of being in the water and she has a passion for body surfing. Just have a look at her face, it is pure contentment, happiness, joy.”
Perhaps Mrs Chook’s talent for extreme sports should’ve been evident, as one of her stablemates Squiggles has also gained fame as a skateboarding rooster.
