The first step of a long journey
was taken earlier this month, with
the first cut made to the steel out of
which Celebrity Cruises’ fifth vessel,
Celebrity Reflection, will be molded.
Under construction in the Meyer
Werft shipyard in Papenburg,
Germany, Celebrity Reflection is
slated to feature accommodations
for 3,030 guests, and will present
the industry with a host of new
venues, as well as the cruise line’s
first AquaClass suites and expanded
spa-inspired AquaClass stateroom accommodations.
Celebrity Reflection’s first baby-steps were watched over by her big sister, Celebrity Silhouette
who herself is in the last stages of final construction before setting sail in July this year.
Reflection is due to be delivered in late 2012.
