FORMER Royal Caribbean marketing and revenue manager Lisa Spearman was recently awarded $26.6 million in damages by a Miami court, 10 years after her hand was crushed when working on Voyager of the Seas, according to The New Zealand Herald.
In 2008, a heavy watertight door smashed Spearman’s right hand during a routine safety drill while the ship was docked at Barcelona.
The incident left her permanently injured & the jury found Royal Caribbean was 100% liable for her injuries.
