A spokesperson for the NSW Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, Melinda Pavey, said “Sydney harbour has been loved to death” with the growth in the cruise industry.
The spokesperson said the government was “continuing to work with industry to look at solutions for expanding short, medium & longer term capacity”.
Solutions include making greater use of existing capacity by means of a double turnaround and to use Garden Island & share facilities with the navy.
