Queen Victoria will have a starring role on national breakfast television tomorrow when the Today Show broadcasts its entire show live from the decks of the Cunard ship in Sydney Harbour.
The popular breakfast team, including hosts Lisa Wilkinson and Karl Stefanovic, will be onboard Queen Victoria as she sails from Circular Quay to anchor at Athol Buoy in time for the historic early morning Royal Rendezvous with sister ship Queen Mary 2 โ the first time the two Queens have met in Sydney.
The live broadcast is part of a week-long Australian celebration in conjunction with Tourism Australia.
The breakfast broadcast will be the start of a big day for Cunard in Sydney with a photo exhibition marking the lineโs 175th anniversary launching at the Opera House and a spectacular send off for Queen Mary 2 at 9pm with fireworks lighting up the night sky as she sails by Queen Victoria on her way to circumnavigate New Zealand for the second time.
Queen Victoria will depart at 11pm en route to Akaroa, New Zealand, before continuing on her 103-night world cruise.
Queen Mary 2 will return to Sydney on March 25 following her 13-day circumnavigation of New Zealand.
